Daisy Update
It has been another busy and enjoyable term in the Daisy class. The boys and girls have been working hard, and taking part in lots of creative and meaningful activities together.
For Valentine’s Day, the students created beautiful crafts to mark the occasion. In art, they made lovely clay hearts, carefully shaping, moulding, and decorating them with great care. They explored different tools and textures while painting and adding their own special designs. Each heart was unique, and the students were very proud of their finished pieces.
Music sessions with Niamh continue to be a highlight of the week. The class enjoys singing familiar songs, exploring rhythm and movement, and having opportunities for sensory engagement through music.
Our Friday kitchen sessions have been full of fun and learning. The boys and girls have been busy cooking pancakes and homemade pizzas, taking turns mixing ingredients, pouring batter, spreading sauce, and choosing toppings. These sessions encourage independence and teamwork, while also being great fun.
We had a very special celebration this term as Jacob celebrated his 18th birthday with a fantastic music party. There was plenty of dancing, singing, and laughter, and it was a lovely opportunity for everyone to celebrate together.
Peter and Lexi are working hard as they train for the MATP Special Olympics. They have been practising their skills with great determination and focus. We are incredibly proud of their dedication and the positive attitude they show during training sessions.
It has been a term filled with creativity, celebration, friendship, and achievement. We are very proud of all the students and look forward to more exciting learning and special moments in the weeks ahead.
